Sommerso vase - Sea and topaz

$100.00

Sommerso meaning “submerged” in Italian, is a traditional glassblowing technique that encases layers of color within clear glass to create a luminous, dimensional effect. In this piece, the method is interpreted with a painterly softness—fluid layers of color captured within a sculptural silhouette. The forms reference flattened versions of classic cylinders and teardrops, grounded by a thick sham base and weighty walls that give the vase a pleasing presence in the hand. Each is individually handblown and signed by the artist. Subtle variations in size and detail are part of the beauty of the handmade process.

  • This one had a small blemish in the color. It is located in the dark core and resembles a watermark.
